Abstract

Technology in the field of 3D design has now developed and is in great demand by the public, especially the millennial generation, to design home interiors better than 2D designs. Because the results can be seen from all sides, both from the front, side and top views. However, there are not many ready-to-use applications or software that can be used to design home interiors in 3D for users who are not familiar with 3D modeling software before. Therefore, this research created a system that can be used to design home interiors for users who do not have previous 3D modeling skills. In the built system, all assets for home interior design needs are provided which can be selected by drag and drop on the available worksheets. In addition, the design results that have been compiled can be directly viewed in 3D presentations or stored in the form of images with various points of view. So that users can easily design home interiors according to their needs and creativity using their own computers, laptops or cellphones without having to master 3D modeling software beforehand. Testing on ten scenarios with different needs can be carried out well by a system that is built with a 100% success rate. It is proven that the system built in this study can be used to solve user problems in designing home interiors without having to have the ability to operate 3D modeling software beforehand.
