DEVELOPMENT OF A WEBSITE-BASED ROOM BORROWING SYSTEM AT LIBRARY OF UNESA WITH REAL-TIME VALIDATION AND SCHEDULING

Abstract
Previously, room booking management at the UPT Perpustakaan UNESA (UNESA Library Technical Unit) relied on Google Forms. However, this method had limitations regarding direct schedule synchronization, frequently leading to fictitious booking conflicts and slow verification processes. This study aims to develop a web-based booking information system that integrates automatic validation features and real-time scheduling.The development method employed the Waterfall model, comprising analysis, design, implementation, testing, and reporting phases. The results indicate that the system was successfully implemented with a dynamic room availability indicator feature. Functional testing using the Black Box method achieved a 100% success rate across 15 main test scenarios, including anti-clash validation for overlapping time slots. The implementation of this system is capable of reducing processing time for both administration and room borrowers from hours to minutes, while significantly increasing schedule data accuracy compared to the manual system.
